Its cool to read about real people who serve Jesus.

I am a musician, and I would be honored if you would check out my music. All music on my site is free for download. Anyway, don’t want to be a pest, I just thought that I’d share.

Thanks,
-Sean
_____________________
www.SeanDietrich.com
“All my music is free.”Sean Dietrichhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11800520785487737607noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14879983.post-1147967730152126392006-05-18T08:55:00.000-07:002006-05-18T08:55:00.000-07:00My sister, Elisa, one smart lady! I mean, to be conformed to Christ is to submit to the endless pruning and chiseling of God without complaint, and most of the worthwhile suffering we endure is contrary to our expectations. To think about any reward but the belief God is good despite the evidence is counter-productive in my view and gives power to the law and the law of the comparison of human goodness, dangerous things indeed.

CEC. But you can mentally resist the one and allow the other. It's not instant gratification.
The transformation, at least in part, is in the process.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14879983.post-1147729733854208842006-05-15T14:48:00.000-07:002006-05-15T14:48:00.000-07:00I like the Episcopal church too, for its liturgy s...I like the Episcopal church too, for its liturgy sans dogma. And I sang soprano in the choir for 10 years until the church vestry lost its collective mind and fired our lesbian rector (but not for that reason--in fact, for no reason anyone can explain or understand.)

Anyway, C.E., have you read "The Moviegoer," a portrait of triumphing over anhedonia? Though given the nature of the beast, I doubt literary explications will help much. Your poems in this post are strong.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14879983.post-1147722550138233722006-05-15T12:49:00.000-07:002006-05-15T12:49:00.000-07:00Thanks, Cynthia. I have felt His hands... but only when I was so close to death that it didn't matter.

All other times, He stays out of my business and I stay out of His... and that's the way I like it.

I haven't been to church regularly in over 15 years myself. I do not like the insanity of Fundalmentalism... or charismatic religions. They are too insane for me. Really enjoyed the post..Cyn Bagleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08404416186783891402noreply@blogger.com
